“We are proud to introduce Quicklee’s Travel Center to the community,” said Ken Perelli, vice president of Quicklee’s. “It has been a pleasure working with the local community and the Livingston County Economic Development Center. Without these partnerships we would not have achieved this level of success so quickly.”
About the Company: Quicklee’s is a local and family-owned convenience store chain with locations throughout Monroe and Livingston counties. They currently operate 14 locations.
About the project: After removal of the original facility and nine months of construction, Quicklee’s recently re-opened as a 24-hour facility, serving both passenger and commercial vehicles at their Lakeville Road location in Avon, NY. The new state-of-the-art travel center, just off of Interstate 390 south, is open 24 hours a day. In addition to a fully stocked convenience store, it offers a car wash, Dunkin’ Donuts and Calabresella New York Style Deli, along with a truck stop equipped with a diesel mechanic shop, overnight parking, showers and laundry facilities. The Livingston County IDA provided assistance in the form of a payment in lieu of tax agreement and sales tax exemption.
